About the property

History

The Chestnut Garden, once a charming cottage of a family who traditionally cultivated chestnuts, now stands as a testament to the incredible beauty of nature. The original name of this place, "Quinta dos Castanheiros," which means Chestnut Tree Farm, doesn't fully capture the beauty of the abundant flora, fauna, and hidden paths that weave through the charming rock structures. It's more than just a farm - it's a  garden of paradise.

Current

Meet Andre a proud Sao Migual native and his wife Meghan, a Canadian who fell in love with the rustic charm of Sao Miguel. With great skill and care, they have breathed new life into the property while preserving its distinct character. Their restoration work merges traditional beauty with modern comfort, creating an unforgettable experience.
